Check the design before choosing a part
The fasteners and protection arrangements aren’t the same on every snowblower. A one-sided change isn’t enough to assume yours needs a shear pin. Give the provider the model details so they can check the design.
Don’t fit an ordinary bolt in place of a specified protective fastener. Something that looks similar may not be the part the manufacturer requires.
For a change after an impact, describe what happened without running the machine again. Don’t remove guards or put your hands into the clearing mechanism to investigate.
A whole-machine photo and any safely accessible label are enough to begin. The person assessing it can decide what further inspection is needed.
The technical and safety advice in this draft still needs to be checked against the manufacturer’s instructions by a qualified reviewer. Follow your machine’s manual.
